Off to Regensburg...

Haven't been there since 1997.  Bill hasn't been since before then.  This should be fun and maybe it'll take my mind off of everything that has been stressing me out lately.  Lately, I've been feeling like a big ball of stress.  Maybe a trip to a pretty cathedral will straighten me out...

  1. A pretty cathedral, especially if it has a nice organ with a competent organist playing Bach or Buxtehude, plus a bit of beer or wine, should beat all but the worst depression. Best of luck, Have a great trip and feel better. Are you getting enough sunlight over there?

    1. Actually, the weather has been beautiful the last couple of days. The nasty snow is finally melting and the temperatures are going up. I think that will make me feel less cooped up and stressed.

I think this past year has just been really stressful... I've lost my dad and my uncle. My mom got breast cancer. We moved abroad. I'm about to start the process of a dental implant. I just feel really on edge.

I hope to have some beautiful photos, though... You might want to check out my travel blog if you have time.

  2. Make sure they give you a truckload of Vicodon or Norco along with that dental implant process. If hydrocodone makes you sick but you're not bona fide allergic, you can take o=Ondansetron with it, and if it makes you itchy, a bit of benadryl works wonders. Just don't tough it out and be miserable.
P.S. if nothing else works for you, drink enough good wine to feel no pain but to avoid getting sick.

P.P.S. My dad would yell at me for dispensing medical advice in my second quarter of med school.

  3. Mr. Bill has come down with some respiratory sickness. After a rather pathetic Valentines dinner at a hole in the wall Thai restaurant, he ended up puking loudly enough to wake the dead. I fear that I will be the next one to get whatever he has, just in time for my niece to visit.
