Sunday shopping...

Bill and I often go shopping on Sundays.  You won't find many German businesses open, though many restaurants operate on Sundays.  We do our shopping on post.

Today, we had to go to Robinson Barracks, which is way the hell away from where we live.  Bill needed a couple of lamps for his office.  He bought a new desk and chair and spent yesterday putting them together.  The lighting was the last element he needed to take care of for the office to be functional.  Now he's setting up the new lamps.  I hear him in there cussing because there's too much packaging.

After we went to the furniture store and bought lamps, we decided to look for food.  We ended up going to Vaihingen, which is near Patch Barracks.  I was wanting Greek food, but we went to an Irish pub instead.  The funny thing is, when we lived here last time, the building the pub is in was a Greek restaurant.  We used to eat there fairly often until the place closed because the owner didn't pay his taxes.

Just down the street from the Irish pub is another Greek place.  We haven't tried it yet.  We'll have to stop in soon.  As for the Irish pub, it was definitely legit.  I'm going to review it on my travel blog.

Other than that, I don't have too much to report.  The dogs had a walk and Zane was barking like a madman while running at top speed.  He loves to run!  If a dog could smile, you would see one on Zane's face when he's out running around and sniffing.  Hope he didn't annoy anyone too much.

I still can't believe we live here again.
